Funny Kids

My students are, at this moment, right now… playing SIMON SAYS!

The hilarious thing is they are 11th graders! They thought of these games on their own! We had a wonderful discussion about helping homeless people and when they got the chance to have some free time, they decided to play hangman and now simon says.

They are SO INTO THIS! They’re bagging on each other, pointing fingers and are so disappointed when they lose and need to sit down.

I had a bad afternoon yelling at some guys who were talking back to me and being loud and disrespectful. It was one of those draining days of having the same kids for the past 3 days. Teachers really have a hard time when we aren’t teaching. There’s no real order. There’s no leverage. There’s a limited amount of controlled things to do indoors!

But, now watching them play with each other and getting all excited is a nice moment. I’m not even present… just observing while they play.

They’ve moved on to playing Heads up Seven up.

*The bad kids are in a different classroom. Amazing how removing a couple of bad apples can change everything.
