I wish I was able to say the field trip was a wonderful experience. I came back angry and frustrated that I wasn’t able to enjoy myself. This was a highly anticipated and yet last minute field trip that I had the privilege of getting picked as a chaperone. Unfortunately, the kids didn’t enjoy it or savor the opportunity as I had hoped.

Lord, help me to understand that holiness is not always happiness. Especially when things don’t go the way I want it to.
