Moving Away

I have moved to a new apartment every year for the past 6 years. This year is no different. I WAS sleeping, but was rudely awakened by screaming. Sigh… it’s so hot I have to keep the windows open. Last night it was helicopters. Two of them I believe around 2am. Tonight it’s a Korean woman screaming. I think she is arguing with someone and threatening to leave. She keeps opening and closing the door to leave but then goes back in. I can’t hear her adversary, but for that I am glad.

I signed a lease for Torrance today. I’ll be living with a new roommate in mid-August! Torrance, a place with sidewalks with no sketchy people staring at me, a place where my dog can go to the park, a place where grocery stores and shopping centers and financial buildings are only 3 blocks away and even if it’s farther than 2 miles you can get there in less than 8 minutes because there’s no traffic, a place of breeze and ocean, a place of friends and cheaper food than korean bbq. This might be good.

Ok, Nami just walked into my room and plopped on the carpet to sleep. I guess the living room was too stuffy for her. The woman has stopped yelling. It’s quiet.

Nope… here comes a helicopter. Sigh… It’s 1am now. At 2:30, the dump truck is going to come.
