Immanuel is writing a message?

My youngest brother is now a homegroup leader. As is/was my other brother. One is 21, the other is 13. Below is Immanuel’s (youngest) message to his homegroup, as blogged by Irving (middle child with middle child syndrome).

—-After some thought—-

He’s got the right idea, but is it safe to let him teach on the Bible when he doesn’t understand historical context and grammar and how to reference other Bible verses? Seems potentially dangerous. This is the guy that still thinks farting is funny and calls everyone “stupid”.

The good thing is, he’s learning about the Bible and he’s reading the Bible. He’s also pretty smart. What’s better is that he’s not THAT smart to start a cult and he’s smart enough to ask for help.

Someone keep an eye on him.

irvingfchu:

“John 3:16For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.Do you think anyone would die for you out of love, not including family or God? I think that no one would die for me. God died for us because he chose to. There isnt any other reason why he did except for his love.  It is VERY VERY hard to explain God’s love. Some people hear about God’s love but his love is crazy. His love is to death and unconditional. He made us in his own image and likeness, so we are, too, capable of loving God back the same way, but we must choose to or not to. God is an extremely jealous God, he wants us for himself. TO really understand any type of love you must first experience it. If you havent experienced it, how do you know what it is? Other people cant explain it to you. Another thing about God’s love is that it is free. Because of this grace, we do not owe God anything, but when we understand this deep love, we want to be with God, we want to try to repay him in someway. We should want to serve God.
But how can we repay his grace and love?1 john 5:3This is love for God: to obey his commands. God also wants for us to develop into a godly man or woman. He wants us to take his love into the world and shine our lights.
God cannot love us any more because his love is already so perfect and so complete.Think of love as a tangible thing. Love is in the heart right? So if love were a substance than imagine God’s love. I think his heart would explode and his love would go into the heavens.”
-I didn’t write any of this nor did I help him. Love his initiative:) Praise the Lord for one of our newest and youngest homegroup leaders!<3
